Thanks for the update. No sync solved the problem for me too. I tried to send the contacts to the parrot manuelly and then started a phone call from the car kit. The contact has a picture (which I didn't sync with the parrot) and the phone process didn't crashed!

I'm afraid I don't remember for certain - it's a while since I fitted it. However, I'm pretty sure that the speaker output from the head unit is fed into the Parrot box, which is where the Parrot audio is put onto the signal wires. The 'relay' as such must be inside the Parrot unit - ie the head unit audio is *replaced* by the hands-free audio.
